Microsoft SDE Interview Experience - Core CS

Hi coders!
Sharing my Microsoft SDE Intern (Core CS) interview experience to help others preparing for similar rounds.
I will not share any actual interview questions as per policy, just the structure and concepts asked.

🧩 Round 2: Mixed Behavioral + DSA + OS (60 mins)

1. Introduction + Behavioral
Started with:

• “Introduce yourself”
• Questions about hobbies & personal interests
• Some light discussion to make the environment comfortable

2. Casual Chit-Chat
A few minutes of informal conversation about my projects and how I approach learning.

3. DSA Coding Question (30 mins)
One coding problem focused on Strings.
I walked through edge cases, time complexity, and wrote a clean solution and test cases.

4. OS Concepts Discussion
They asked conceptual questions around:

• Page framing
• Segmentation
• Cache
  These were more conversational and rapid fire than deeply technical.
