EatClub/Box8 SDE-I Interview Experience

I have 1.3 years of experience(Salesforce Development) in a service-based company. I applied through LinkedIn and received a call from the HR. After discussing my current role, she informed me that:

Round 1: DSA (Medium + Hard) + CS Fundamentals

Round 2: System Design

Later, I got the email for Round 1. It was a 1-hour round, and there were two panelists — one focused on DSA, and the senior interviewer handled resume-based and CS fundamentals questions.

DSA Questions Asked

  1. Daily Temperatures

  2. Capacity To Ship Packages Within D Days

I explained the brute-force and optimal approaches, discussed time complexities, and successfully solved both questions.

After DSA

They moved on to my resume. At that time, the projects I had were basic personal projects built by following tutorials. The senior interviewer asked detailed questions about REST APIs and backend concepts, and I couldn’t answer some of them confidently.
They then shifted to CS fundamentals, where I answered correctly.

Result: Rejected!!

Hopefully this helps someone preparing! 😊

Any insights on how I can improve, how to prepare better for future interviews.
