Status: Rejected after Hiring Manager Round

Round 1 – DSA (60 mins)

– classic tree traversal question.

Both problems were to be solved within 60 minutes.
✅ Verdict: Pass

Round 2 – Android Fundamentals (60 mins)

Focused entirely on Android core concepts:

Activity, Fragment, and ViewModel lifecycle

Internal working of ViewModel

Dependency Injection

Activity launch modes

Standard Android concepts and best practices

Answered most questions confidently.
✅ Verdict: Pass

Round 3 – Hiring Manager (60 mins)

Started with discussion on my experience, current projects, and responsibilities.
Then asked to:
👉 Pick a favorite Android app and design its HLD + LLD.

I chose Google Search App due to its utility.
Spent more time on HLD, covering a wide range of features (some non-core), which left limited time for LLD discussion.

❌ Verdict: Fail

Takeaways:

Keep HLD focused on core functionality when time is limited.

Prioritize clarity and trade-offs over detailing every feature.

Practice structuring design answers under time constraints.
