OA : Got two simple questions but only 15/21 test cases passed. After a day the recuirter said I am moving to virtual onsite. After this I had so many issues with conflict scheduling and one time I felt sick and had to cancel the interview the day before. Finally the virtual onsite happened 2 months after OA.

Virtual Onsite :

Round 1 : The interviewer was the nicest one I had on that day- this was the bar raiser. 20 min of LP standard LP questions. The programming question was top 20 amazon tagged BFS question. I got confused with the version I of the problem and wrote the code and the interviewer pointed out the edge case I quickly realized and gave him the solution and asked him the permission to change the code but he said he knows what I am gonna change and he is OK with my explaination. Later I asked him if this would come up during hiring decision meeting and he was kinda chill and said its OK and he is satisfied. I think this round went well.

Round 2 : Lot of LP questions around 5-6. This was an OOD round to design a game and I did not realize it was an OOD in the beginning. This round did not go well as I was kinda confused if its a programming round or OOD.

Round 3 : Two people 2 very senior managers with more than 20 yrs exp. One was shadowing but ended up involving in the discussion. Standard coding question top 50 amazon tagged leetcode medium question. I was able to solve it quickly and some questions as how do I handle additional cases - making it a hard quesiton. This got over in 15 min and rest of the interview was fun with LP questions from two managers grilling me with every detail in what ever I spoke. I think this round went well

Round 4 ; System design. 20-20-10 20 min LP, 20 min technical discussion and 10 min questions. The LP questions were pretty standard. System design question was from *** the system design medium (limiter) question. I had actually had not prepared for this question. I explained as much as I could using distributed design principles. The interviewer seemed satisfied. This round was OK. We ended up talking for the next 20 min about amazon culture etc as it was the last interview for both of us.

Overall : All interviewers seemed very nice and professional. Hoping to get an offer....let me see

Preparation : Leet code and *** the system design

Update : Received a call from the recuirter and she said it was a close call but the team felt I was not a good fit for the team. She said after a few months she would contact me again and there were no red flags anywhere. I am not sure if its a recycle. Anyways a reject always hurt.
