Q: Design a new aggregator app with personalised feeds based on user interest and liking of publication house.

Proposed a solution with polling all the subscription houses api and storing feeds in rds since the volume was low, 5M writes per day

Reads had 100k QPS requirement, proposed caching top 100 feeds per category and publication house and then gerenating the user feed on the fly when call comes, since all the things are in redis , feed generation should be fast.

Also suggested to pre generate feed and cache it in redis.

At the end i felt the interview went pretty well, but did not hear back from recruiter so assuming got rejected. Although some feedback from recruiter would have been better.
