I know this is a long post but I thought of sharing this so that at least one person may be beneficial by reading this.
Background: I have 3 years of experience working with small to medium-sized companies. I have been preparing for the Big Tech Companies for almost 3 years now but without consistency and dedication apart from the past few months starting from March 2020.
In March 2020, Recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn to see if I am interested in opportunities with Amazon and I said yes but asked for some time to prepare so that this time I can meet the bar and get into Amazon. (Last time when I tried it was way back in 2018 during which I got rejected in the OA).

Preparation: Purchased LC premium and started coding the Top Interview Questions and Amazon Interview Questions. By the time I have started preparing I have already solved around 250 LC questions mostly easy, a 25-30 medium, and 10 hard questions.
But this time it was different and I thought consistency is the key for my preparation and was solving the Leetcode Challenges starting from April and I was able to complete, understand and implement these solutions on my own instead of remembering the solutions as I did earlier.
I have given numerous interviews on inter*-v-iewing.io and Pr*-am--p.com almost every other day and meet some brilliant people along the way. I have interviewed so many people and was able to measure my level of understanding on so many problems because To Teach is to Learn Twice. Whenever I got stuck on problem I would go to You tube and search for the problems and understand the detailed explanation of these problems and understand the intuition behind it which can help me in solving so many similar problems along the way.

I have constantly prepared every single day for at least two to three hours during the pandemic stay at the home situation and was able to get solid problem-solving skills except on the topics Recursion, Dynamic Programming (God Knows when I will be able to get a good understanding on these topics no matter how many problems I solve). I have also purchased the famous system design course on above mentioned website and kept reading that until the interview date. To understand the basic system Design concepts I have used System Design primer and have bought some mock interviews on ExpertMitra.com. I have referred Interview genie & Dan Craitor on you tube and was able to come up with two answers for every single one of them.

Interview Experience:
OA: Two Questions from the Amazon OA Assessment thread which are pretty similar but should concentrate on the edge cases and their wording was different.
After two days, Recruiter contacted me about scheduling the onsite with the team that she thought I might be a good fit. Recruiter asked me to keep preparing for Coding questions and prepared me well for Leadership Principles Questions and specifically said that there will be three coding rounds and one System Design round. (No mention of Object-Oriented Design).

Round 1:
This round was with Software Development Manager and it was focused on System Design. I couldn't understand his language and his way of questioning was not so good. He cut me off several times during my explanation and completely took me off the track. He was not an active listener and abruptly ended the interview after 40 minutes with 15 minutes at the end. I failed terribly despite giving numerous interviews and facing numerous interviewers because of interview anxiety and nervousness. I knew from this round that I won't be selected.
I was able to recover from this quickly as I had a one hour break for my next interview and watched some motivational videos of Jeff Bezos to clear up my mind.

**Round 2: **
One Medium level question not from Leetcode but I found it somewhat easy and came up with a brute force solution for which the interviewer was happy and asked me to start coding and at the end he pointed out the corner cases that I have missed and asked me to think about it and not to worry about the code and said the wanted to see my thought process. After that he moved to Behavioral for the next 30 minutes. I felt that this round went well when compared to my previous round.

Round 3: An OOD question which I have heard before from one of my friend but haven’t prepared accordingly as my recruiter told me that there won’t be any such questions. I was stuck for 5-10 minutes and didn’t know what to do and the interviewer kept on pushing me saying that there will be more and more complex requirements for this question. Unfortunately I couldn’t perform well in this round because of my lack of preparation.

**Round 4: **Very Famous LC Hard question. I have seen this problem before but didn’t know how to solve that but was able to solve that in the interview in the specified time and interviewer was happy about it.
Recruiter called me yesterday and said to me that I was low on the technical side and asked me to apply for non-technical roles. 
Takeaways:
• Dedication, Hard work and Consistency Really Matters.
• Having a plan and sticking to it is also the key for preparation.
• Allocate dedicated time for every single topic rather than missing a topic at the end and becoming nervous.
• Even if you have all the above you may fail sometimes because interviews are meant to be stressful and it is okay to fail so I would suggest do as much as mocks possible so that you are more confident during the actual interviews.
I am happy that I was able to talk in an interview fluently and express my thought process in solving these problems in a real interview scenario. I am not disappointed that I have failed but I was awe struck by the way my recruiter phased it (see above). I am not going to give up on this journey during which I have grown a lot as a person technically and professionally and I hope to see some of you in my next interviews/ working with you directly.
