Received CodeSignal OA Link. 4 questions was expected to be done carrying 600 marks. Cleared.
(The position didnt clearly state whether its a T24 or T25 role. Later, TA team clarified that it would be decided based on how the rounds would go.
Received invite for in-person interview. All the rounds were supposed to be done in 1 day, but didn't complete due to high footfall.)
Interviewed for the communications platform team. Seems like they are building the teams from scratch, and eBay will scale to 1000 employees in an year or so.
Date of interview: 12th Sept- 15th Sept
1st Round: (1 hr)
Was taken by Director of Engineering.
I was expecting it to be DSA round.
10 min intro.
30 min spent on HLD of my current team's architecture.
15 min spent on a simple coding question:
Given a number n, print all the prime numbers leading upto n.
Approach 1: Naive approach O(n * sqrt(n)) solution.
Approach 2: Sieve of eratosthenes (explained, however I think the guy didnt understand this approach)
2nd Round (40 min)
Was taken by EM.
This round was very abstract.
- How to productionize a system?
- How to scale a system?
- What metrics to look for when building and testing a API?
- Some genAI tools related questions.
TA team said that the panels had called it a day. Remaining round(s) will be done online.
It has been a week, and recruiter has not reached out for further rounds. I guess I'm ghosted.
