I initially expected this to be another technical/system design round, but it turned out to be managerial.
The discussion included:
My background and project experience
Details about the role: which involved using a low-code platform to build solutions.
My motivation to apply for the Implementation Engineer role despite coming from a coding background.
How I approach learning and handling technologies I'm unfamiliar with.
My Thoughts
The first three rounds went smoothly. I felt confident about my performance. The interviewers were friendly, greeted me with a smile, and kept their cameras on (unlike many interviews where you're talking to a blank screen).
The final round, I had prepared for a system design round but faced managerial questions instead. While the interviewer was approachable and friendly, I sensed some concern about my transition from a purely coding background to an implementation-focused role. I tried to emphasize my willingness to learn and adapt.
