I was referred by one of the employees of VMware. I received a call from the recruiter the next day for checking my availability and experience. he scheduled my phone interview for the Next day with a hiring manager.
Phone interview- general discussion about my previous experience and roles in the project. He asked me to complete one assignment sent by him over the mail before coming to onsite for an interview.
then within a week I got mail for an onsite interview scheduled with the assignment. In the assignment, I suppose to create one application with angular 7 frontend and go lang backend service API with basic CRUD functionality. They asked me to share GitHub URL prior to onsite interview.
- First Round:
First-round was mainly focused on my assignment. The architect asked my approach and framework knowledge and appreciated my work too.
he checked my typescript knowledge here and there in code and asked me to write function callbacks on the whiteboard.
- Second round :
The second round was mainly for data structure and algorithm.
he asked me to write working code for merge n sorted linked list.i have described him both approach.
then he asked me to write the login to create amazon or any shopping website logic with API prospection on the whiteboard.
- Third round :
The third round was related to cs fundamentals and CI-CD pipelines, docker ,d-graph,kubernative.
it was a healthy discussion with all the technology out there in the market.I'm was confident enough in this round as 2 rounds were good to sure.
- Fourth Round
The fourth round was director round:
Focused mainly on my work and company work culture.
"Tell me about a time you had a conflict at work".Answered carefully with SARI formula and he was happy with the answer. Than he told me we are done with the day our recruiter will get back to you.
Next day I got a mail from recruiter that i got to know from the hiring manager that you had a very good interview but they have some other candidate lined up for interview so wait for an week i'll get back to you.
After a week I followed up with the recruiter and got to know that they have only one position opened so selected some other candidate otherwise if they have more positions open they could have selected me too.
