✨ My Meesho SDE-1 (Backend) Interview Experience
Recently, I had the opportunity to interview for the SDE-1 Backend role at Meesho. Although I didn't make it through, the overall process was a great learning experience, and I’d love to share it.

✅ Application Process
Applied via: Naukri.com

Shortlisting: Received a call after resume shortlisting

🧠 Online Assessment (OA)
Platform: [likely HackerRank or similar]

Number of questions: 3 coding problems

Performance:

Solved 2 questions completely

For the 3rd question, achieved 14 out of 15 test cases

🔍 Technical Interview 1: Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
Duration: 30 minutes

Note: The interviewer joined 10 minutes late, so the actual discussion was ~20 minutes

Question Topic: Multi-source BFS/DFS

My Approach:

Understood the problem quickly

Explained the complete solution clearly

Discussed time and space complexities

Implemented a working solution within the limited time

🏗️ Technical Interview 2: Low-Level Design (LLD)
Duration: 60 minutes

Note: Interviewer joined a bit late again, but was very calm and interactive throughout

Problem Statement: Design and implement a Cab Booking System with the following functionalities:

Add a cab

Book a ride

End a ride

Display all details (driver, passenger, and ride info)

My Approach:

Focused on writing a clean and modular design

Was able to implement around 90% of the code

Faced some issues with the HackerRank IDE during compilation

Despite that, I clearly explained the entire implementation and logic to the interviewer

Interviewer seemed satisfied and engaged

📩 Outcome
Result: Rejected

Notification: Received the rejection email the next day

🌱 Final Thoughts
Even though I didn’t get selected, it was a valuable learning experience. I appreciated the professionalism of the interviewers and the depth of the questions. Each round helped me better understand my strengths and the areas I need to improve.

Looking forward to more such opportunities in the future!
