Hi everyone, i had my linkedin interview loop recently. Sharing my interview experience below -
Round 1: OA
Had my OA on hackerrank. The problems were medium-hard leetcode. Was able to solve 1 fully and one partial. Got selected.
Round 2: Phone screen
I was asked a lot of OS fundamentals, java and other computer networking concepts. This was followed by 1 DSA question and a follow up for the same.
The problem was similar to -
Variant of https://leetcode.com/problems/letter-combinations-of-a-phone-number/description/
Round 3: DSA 1
2 DSA questions were asked.
The problem was similar to -
Max Stack - leetcode
LCA in a BST
I was able to solve both
Round 4: DSA2
Here also 2 DSA questions were asked
The 1st problem was similar to -
https://leetcode.com/problems/minimum-window-substring/
2nd problem -
https://leetcode.com/problems/max-consecutive-ones-iii/description/.
Round 5: System design
Metrics monitoring system
Round 6: Host manager
Typical host manager round with projects and behavioral questions.
Even though all my rounds went very well, got rejected, i was told that there were gaps in the coding round and i couldnt come up with optimal solutions which is completely surprising to me as the questions werent that hard and i had already practiced them and was able to solve all fully. Never the less i feel now interviews are mostly on luck. Feeling a bit demotivated but this is what it is. Thanks for reading.
