Hi, I’d like to share my experience with the TCS Ninja role through the TCS NQT exam and give insights into each stage of the process.
I participated in the TCS NQT as part of an on-campus placement drive. The process consisted of the following rounds, all of which were elimination stages:
1.Online Assessment
2.Technical, Managerial, and HR Interviews (conducted in a single combined round)
Timeline:
Online Assessment: 3rd October 2024
Results for Assessment: 28th October 2024
Interview: 5th December 2024
Final Selection: 12th December 2024
Assessment at TCS iCON Centre:
The written test was conducted online and focused on these key sections:
Aptitude Questions: Numerical ability, logical reasoning, and verbal comprehension.
Programming Questions: Two coding problems were included.
Tips:
Time Management: Allocate sufficient time to both aptitude and programming sections, as both are crucial for selection.
Coding Practice: Get comfortable solving problems in environments without code auto-completion (like Notepad or similar tools).
Combined Interview Round
After clearing the written exam, I was shortlisted for the combined interview round, which included technical, managerial, and HR panels in the same room, differentiated by interviewers.
Technical (TR):
I belong to a mechanical enginner student, so they asked this.
Why did you choose Mechanical Engineering?
What is TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)?
Explain Lean Six Sigma.
What is PDCA Cycle.
Write an HTML code snippet to include a float input, integer input, and a submit button.
Explain what is keyword in Java.
How do you take input from a user in Java?
What does psvm stand for in Java?
How does ChatGPT work?
Managerial (MR):
Why are you transitioning from Mechanical Engineering to IT?
Share some details about your family.
Human Resources (HR):
Are you open to relocating and working night shifts?
Final Outcome
On 12th December 2024, I received an email confirming my selection for the TCS Ninja role.
That's all.
All the best for your interview!
