Applied for New Grad 2020 role and passed the phone screen, post here https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-question/579779/Facebook-or-Phone-or-Number-of-ones-in-an-integer-and-Anagram-in-a-string.
Round 1:
Q1: (HARD) https://leetcode.com/problems/making-a-large-island/
Q2: (MEDIUM) https://leetcode.com/problems/k-closest-points-to-origin/ -
Round 2:
Q1: (MEDIUM) https://leetcode.com/problems/course-schedule/
Q2: (HARD) https://leetcode.com/problems/find-median-from-data-stream/ - was not preppared for this question, however, I remembered that this was a classical problem taught in my algorithms course, and I remembered the two heap solution in last 10 minutes. Even though I was proud of myself for figuring this solution out, interviewer seemed to want an even more optimal solution.
Round 3: Jedi Interview - Behavorial questions for first 30 minutes. Last, 15 minutes for one easy question
Q1: (EASY) https://leetcode.com/problems/add-binary/
Interviewed on Thursday, rejected the following Tuesday. I genuinley felt it could go either way. I was heart broken considering I dedicated the past month to leetcoding my heart out, on all the facebook questions and mock interviews. I guess sometimes you need some more luck with questions and interviwers. Also, I wish I had the chance to interview in Menlo park and not virtual interviews. Gonna keep grinding!
UPDATE: updated round 1 - Q1 to correct question
