💻 Interview Experience – Paytm

I recently went through the interview process for a software role at Paytm, and it was an insightful and rewarding experience. Here's a breakdown of the rounds:

🔹 Round 1: HackerRank Test

Two Easy-to-Medium level DSA problems (focused on HashMap & Arrays).
Multiple-choice questions covering DSA concepts and problem-solving techniques.

🔹 Round 2: Technical Interview with a Senior Software Engineer

Solved a DSA problem on HashMap, optimizing it for better efficiency.
Discussions on Core Java, Multithreading, Spring Boot, SQL queries and monitoring tools like Grafana & Prometheus.

🔹 Round 3: Interview with the AVP (Technical + Hiring Manager)

Deep dive into my resume and past experiences.
Discussions on Redis, Multithreading, and QuickSort-based DSA problems.
A broader conversation about the team’s work, technical challenges, and future opportunities.

After clearing the interviews, I was shortlisted for the role, and HR reached out to discuss compensation. 🎉

However, I am not joining Paytm for now as I am currently working at Razorpay and enjoying my time here. The work culture, learning opportunities, and team environment at Razorpay have been excellent. That said, the Paytm interview process was an enriching experience, and I appreciate the opportunity to engage with such talented professionals.

Would be happy to discuss any part of this process in detail with anyone preparing for similar roles! 🚀
