Interview Process:

Round 1: Technical Screening (Online)

  • Basic Java questions
  • 1 Medium DSA question

Round 2: Technical (Project & DSA)

  • Project-related questions (architecture, challenges, decision-making)
  • Some managerial questions
  • 1 Hard DSA problem (solved in 45 mins with hints)
  • Call extended for 30 mins for:
    • SQL queries
    • Java Streams API questions

Round 3: DSA Round

  • 1 Medium DSA problem (Grouping Anagrams)
  • Questions related to resume & projects

Round 4: Core Java + Coding Round

  • In-depth Core Java questions
  • MySQL questions
  • 2 Coding Questions:
    1. Generate random numbers from 1 to 100 without skipping, duplicates, or inbuilt functions
    2. Find children attempting to take extra sweets in a distribution ceremony
  • Struggled a bit in this round

Round 5: High-Level Design (HLD) Round

  • HLD of my project
  • Areas for improvement & redesign decisions
  • Ownership in my service
  • Concepts on caching, database, load balancing, etc.

Round 6: Techno-Managerial Round

  • 15 mins - Questions related to my project
  • 15 mins - Questions related to his project
  • 15 mins - Managerial questions
  • 15 mins - 1 DSA problem (String Compression)

Round 7: Director Round

  • Behavioral questions: "Why do you want to join Oracle?", etc.

Final Outcome:

Offer Accepted (Waiting for HR to release the offer, as they mentioned it takes a couple of weeks.)


Overall Experience:

  • The process was structured, with a strong focus on Java, DSA, system design, and ownership in projects.
  • DSA rounds were challenging, but hints were provided when needed.
  • HLD round tested my understanding of system design and improvement areas.
  • Techno-managerial round balanced technical and soft skills assessment.
