Status: SDE II with total 5 Yrs of expereince

Technical Phone Screen (45 Mins)

• Given a list of date strings, asked to implement few date utility functions like smallest date, k smallest dates etc
• Customised version of "merge k sorted list" (all k lists elements were in one list)

Round 1- Coding (60 Mins)

• Something simillar to balance parenthesis problem (stack based)
• Find point with shortest distance from origin (heap based)

Round 2- Coding(45 Mins)

• Problem was similar to "knight dialer" in leetcode with little variation, Then brief discussion on complexity analysis.

Round 3- Behavioural (30 Mins)

• General discussion with hiring manager about current project, optimisations done, idea implementation, conflict resolve with your manager etc

Round 4- Cross Platform (30 Mins)

• Interviewer was from business team and was mainly focused on communication skill. Few general questions were How do you explain solutions to BA, How do you approach changes to upper management, what kind of BA people do you want to work with.

Round 5- Design (60 Mins)

• High level discussion for a video streaming service like Netflix, Interviewer fixed the scope of discussion with topics like Subscription, Streaming, Storage (schemas), Recommendations etc.
• On given design what common issues you may face? I discussed bottleneck problem with load balancers.

Last update I got was hiring for this position is freezed due to COVID-19 situation (that was 2 weeks ago so I have less hope now). All the best.
