I would like to share my interview experience with Amazon for SDE-2 role.
OA: 2 coding questions : 90 minutes
1- Reorder data in log files
2-Top k frequent words
Got confirmation the next day and was directly called for the virtual onsite.
5 rounds of 1 hour each:
Round-1 : Few LP questions(15 mins)
System design - Tiny URL
I felt that this round went well and had a good discussion with interviewer.
Round-2: Few LP questions(25 mins)
Coding based on Object oriented concepts(LLD)
Gave the correct approach, was not able to finish the writing code due to the lack of time.
Round-3: HM : This was no technical round. Lot of LP questions with many follow ups.
LUNCH BREAK
Round-4: Few LP questions(25 mins)
Coding question based on Graph.
Round-5: BR: Few LP questions(30-35 mins)
Coding question based on binary search with follow ups.
Recruiter didnot come back with the result, I had to ask her about my interview feedback then she replied that they have decided not to move forward with the offer at this time.
My preparation: Practiced around 150 LC questions and tried understanding the concepts.
I thing companies like Amazon needs a lot more practice.
All the best for your upcoming interviews :)
