Train Arrival and Departure: Calculate the maximum number of platforms required at a railway station, given the arrival and departure times of trains.

Round 2: System Design Round
Duration: 1 hour
The task was to design a global-scale system similar to BookMyShow, capable of handling lakhs of events simultaneously.
Key areas covered:
- High-Level Design (HLD): Addressing scalability, availability, and fault tolerance for a global audience.
- Low-Level Design (LLD): Detailed interaction between components.
- Database Schema: Structuring data for events, users, bookings, and payments.
The interviewer probed on both functional and non-functional aspects of the system.
Round 3: Technical Round with VP Engineering
Duration: 45 minutes
This round included discussions on:
- My past projects and challenges faced at scale.
- Use of message queues for processing and ensuring fault tolerance.
- Techniques to ensure data consistency in distributed systems.
- Questions based on my experience like - handling compliance with local government laws for data security and storage since I had worked with European counterparts.
Round 4: Behavioral and Interpersonal Round
Duration: 30 minutes
Conducted by the Head of HR, this round evaluated:
- My interpersonal and communication skills.
- Approach to collaboration, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
- Alignment with company culture and long-term goals.
Round 5: CTO Round
Duration: 30 minutes
This round was a blend of technical and behavioral topics:
Technical discussions:
- Trade-offs during design.
- Handling technical debt and maintaining system scalability.
- Approaches to resource allocation for critical projects.
Behavioral aspects:
- Leadership and decision-making in challenging scenarios.
- Adaptability to rapidly changing requirements.
