How did I apply ?
A recruiter posted about a hiring drive for SDE-2 on LinkedIn and I applied there. After a week I got a mail that I am shortlisted for the interviews.
Round 1 : Machine Coding(90 mins)
I was given a document which had the machine coding question for which I had to do the implmentation on my local machine. The question was to implement an auction system. A set of requirements was given and they had to be mandatorily implemented. Another set of bonus requirements was also given. If time is left then you can attempt these also.
While coding, basic OOPs principles have to be implemented as well as suitable design patterns. The code should be modular and extensible.
Round 2 : Machine Coding Evaluation(30 mins)
This round happened on the next day as the first round. In this round we had to explain the code that we had submitted in the first round.
Round 3 : PS-DS Round(1 hr)
This round happened after 2 days from the second round.
Two questions were given :
Ist Problem: https://leetcode.com/problems/walls-and-gates/description/
2nd Problem: Dont remember exactly, solved using Hashmap
Round 4 : System Design(1 hr)
This round was mainly focussed on low-level design. I was asked to provide the design for a BookMyShow like system. Database schema design, API design and low-level design was expected from this exercise.
Round 5 : HM Round(1 hr)
This round was mostly technical with the last 15 mins focussing on basic behavioural questions. Deep-dive in past projects as well as discussion on design choices.
Verdict : Selected
I got the offer letter after a week and have accepted the offer
