Process Overview:

Step 1: Registration

  1. Registered on TCS NextStep Portal and submitted CT/DT reference ID to the college.
  2. Waited for the Admit Card to appear for the assessment.

Step 2: Assessment
Foundation Section (75 mins):
• Numerical Ability(25 mins): Profit/Loss, Time & Work, etc. (20 questions; solved ~6-7)
• Logical Ability(25 mins): Series, Statements & Conclusions, etc. (20 questions; solved ~8-9)
• Verbal Ability(25 mins): Paragraphs, Error Detection, etc. (25 questions; solved ~10-12)

Advanced Section(115 mins):
• Advanced Aptitude (Logical + Numerical)(25 mins): Easy (14 questions; solved ~9-10)
• Advanced Coding (90 mins):

  1. Question 1 (Easy)(25 mins): If-Else problem – Passed all test cases.
  2. Question 2 (Medium)(55 mins): Subarray Sum – Partially solved (3/7 test cases passed).

Step 3: Interview
Schedule: Interview mail received late, with a fever impacting preparation. Arrived at 9 AM; interview delayed until 5:30 PM.
Verification: Submitted application form, IDs, and academic documents.

Interview Panel Observations:
Interviewers seemed fatigued and uninterested, affecting the experience.

HR Questions: Relocation, night shifts, family background.
MR Questions: Travel concerns, relocation to Thiruvananthapuram.

Technical Questions:
OOPs Concepts: Pillars of OOP, abstraction vs. encapsulation.
SQL Task: Write CREATE, UPDATE, DELETE commands (minor mistake in UPDATE).
Java: Compilation process.
Coding: Denied writing Java Threads and JavaScript validation code due to lack of practice.

Behavior of Interviewers:
• Displayed frustration and questioned the authenticity of projects/internships.
• Ended on an unprofessional note with mocking remarks and handed Mentos.

Personal Insights:
• Found the assessment time-consuming, especially in the Numerical and Logical sections.
• Felt unprepared for Advanced Coding and Interview Technical Rounds due to insufficient practice.
• Encountered an unsupportive interview panel, affecting confidence and morale.
