Hi, recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn asking if I am open to change and then we connected for 45mins on MS Teams call to discuss about the opportunity and work at Agoda and relocation benefits and other stuffs and he also asked couple of questions to me about my current work, expectations, open to relocation etc. Later he scheduled a DSA round for 1hr15mins

Coding Round
Indian Interviewer who was working from Bangkok joined and shared a Hackerrank link where he pasted a question and told there will be 18 Test cases and I need to pass atleast 10 to move ahead.

Question: I dont remember the exact question, but it was like there given two strings s1 and s2 and I need to find the longest palindrome possible from both the string and then merge them and then find the shortest palindrome from the merged string(could'nt find this question anywhere).

Approach: I tried almost everything to solve this and took lot of time but could'nt figure out anything and later I figured out a trick where I merged both the String as it is and then found the shortest palindrome out of the merged string. While i was explaining/coding this up, the interview was very strict that this approach wont work for any of his test case and we wasted a lot of time during the discussion and I finally convinced him that this should work as towards the end we are only botherd about the final shortest palindrom from merged string.

Final Outcome: It passed 3 of the test case which interviewer gave but was running into out of bound for one of the hidden case. I have 7 minutes left and Interviewer said he leaves it up to me to fix the out of bound but said he is convinced that the solution will work. So i left and we discussed culture and other stuff about Agoda.

Verdict: Recieved a rejection mail after 3days
