Figured I'd share my experience as I wait for a result. Sorry in advance for being vague when describing the questions. I'm curious as to your thoughts on whether you think I passed and also whether the shadow round interview feedback will be counted.

Was scheduled for 3 coding rounds and 1 behavioral from the start.

First interview(Shadow round where the main interviewer was more senior, the other interviewer did not say anything but rather observed):

  • Both T50 tagged Meta medium questions
  • Solved both questions optimally, said the right TC for both, however for second one initially said it was along the order of one input but after they said are you sure, thought about it for a second, then pivoted to saying it's along the order of the other input and explained my logic as to why. Seems like this was the right move as my second TC clarification and explanation was correct. Finished this interview around 5-10 mins ahead of time.

Second Interview(Behavioral):

  • Standard questions, can be found online
    • Along the lines of project you're proud of, conflict resolution, how you deal with critical feedback,etc

Third Interview(Technical):

  • First question was a more difficult variation of a T20 tagged Meta medium question
    • Solved this optimally, TC/SC correct
    • There were many minute edge cases that needed to be dealt with
  • Second question was initially a T20 tagged Meta medium question verbatim
    • Solved it optimally and explained my logic as well as ran through various test cases, TC/SC correct
    • By the time I finished, there was still around 5-10 minutes left before the final 5 minutes of questions so they modified the question to a variation of the original essentially making it a hard. I tried throwing out a few solutions but unfortunately could not arrive at what they seemed to be looking for. I did positively explain some concepts at the end that they wanted to clarify regarding the general area of the question topic and they mentioned that I seemed to have gotten the main problem right but missed out on 1-2 edge cases to get the hard variation.
    • Overall, felt like my weakest interview

Fourth interview(Technical):

  • Both T50 tagged Meta medium questions(one a variation)
  • First question, mentioned the naive then explained the optimal and coded it out. Then tested on various examples and interviewer was happy. TC/SC correct
  • Second question, coded out the optimal and explained clearly. TC/SC correct. Asked a follow up but they said I didn't need to code it out. Explained the approach to the follow up clearly and double checked after the interview confirming that I did get it right.
  • Finished this interview around 5-10 minutes ahead of time.

Let me know if this helps you out, and also feel free to drop a comment on whether you think I passed or not!
