Hi all,
I just completed my virtual onsite interview for an E5 MLE position with Meta this week. I thought I would share my experience here so it can benefit others like I benefited from reading other interview experiences shared here.
Timeline -
Referral submitted - August 3rd week,
Screening round - Sept 3rd week,
Onsite (4 rounds - 2 coding, 1 ML sys design, 1 Behavioral) - Oct 3rd week,
Onsite (1 extra coding round) - Oct last week (yet to happen)
Screening round -
1 easy, 1 medium question
Onsite round
Coding 1 - one easy, one medium
Coding 2 - 2 relatively easy mediums
ML system design - Standard ML system design question. I recommend people practice some standard material like this one - https://bytebytego.com/intro/machine-learning-system-design-interview
Behavioral - standard questions to understand scope/ambiguity/cross-functional communication in your current role. I recommend people read this to understand expectations of senior role when annswering questions - https://www.hellointerview.com/blog/ace-faang-behavioral-interview
On coding, I did the top -100 Meta tagged easy/medium questions from the last 30 days. While some questions were not exactly the same, I think they come very close, so if you do the top-100 or maybe 200 if you have the time, you'll be good.
I am not sure if my final coding round is optional. Will update this post if I am still called for the final coding round.
Will also update the timeline when I hear back from the recruiter about my interview result. Good luck, everyone!
