I took part in the Accenture on-campus placement. There are 4 rounds to get selected in Accenture. Around 26 Jul 2024 the college gave me the notice and I fill up the application form. In the Application form you need to select 3 preferred job locations, so think about that in advance.

My Timeline was something like this:

  • Application form – 26 Jul 2024
  • 1st Round: 28 Aug, 2024
  • 2nd Round: 28 Aug, 2024
  • 3rd Round: 30 Aug, 2024 – 1 Sep, 2024
  • 4th Round: 5 Sep, 2024
  • Result : 28 Sep, 2024

1st Round: Cognitive and Technical Assessment – MCQ Test (90 Questions – 90 min):

The first round is about Cognitive and Technical Assessment. You may have to go to other colleges to take this exam. In this round there are No Quantitative Aptitude questions which makes it easier to clear this round.
In this round, there will be 90 questions from 6 sections and you will have 90 minutes. you can switch between the sections. To clear this you need to score a minimum of 75% (may change according to the cut-off).

  1. English Ability(Verbal) - 17 Ques
  2. Critical Reasoning and Problem Solving - 18 Ques
  3. Abstract Reasoning - 15 Ques
  4. Common Application and MS Office - 12 Ques
  5. Pseudo Code - 18 Ques
  6. Fundamentals of Networking, Security, and Cloud - 10 Ques

My Tip : Go to YouTube and search for these topic videos, try solve problem and practice a little. Don’t take it lightly, many of my friends eliminated in this round but they are good at coding so they did not able get the chance to go to the coding round.

2nd Round: Coding Test (2 Questions – 45 min):

The Coding Test will be held on the same day if you clear round 1.

There will be 2 questions Easy/Medium level and you will have 45 minutes. The difficulty level depends on luck. Most of the time it is easy level questions. The first question will be always easy and the 2nd question may be difficult.

By solving any 1 question you can clear this round. But try to solve both the questions to increase your chance to get selected.

My Tip: Search for Accenture Previous year Coding questions and Most important if you find the current year questions means your previous slots questions that will be the JACKPOT!!!!!! (try to find your previous days questions or that month’s questions). Most of the time the same questions comes.

3rd Round: Communication Assessment:

After clearing the coding round you need take part of this Communication Assessment round. It is a Non Elimination round but you have to sit on this round mandatorily. You will have 2-3 days to complete this round.

Ensure you are in a quiet environment, as any noise could disrupt the assessment process. Speak clearly into the microphone during the assessment. Make sure your internet connection is stable. The assessment is divided into the following 6 sections:

  • Reading (8 ques): In this section, you will see sentences on your screen, and you will need to read them aloud with proper punctuation.
  • Repeat (16 ques): In this section, you will hear a few sentences, and you need to repeat each sentence exactly as you heard it. Some sentences may be in an American accent, so stay attentive.
  • Questions (24 ques): In this section, you will be hear several questions, and you need to provide answers based on the question. For example, if the question is, “Would you get water from a bottle or a newspaper?” you would respond, “A bottle” or “From a bottle.”
  • Sentence Builds (10 ques): In this section, you will hear a group of words that you need to rearrange to form a proper sentence. For example, if you hear, “was reading” … “my mother” … “her favorite magazine,” you would say, “My mother was reading her favorite magazine.”
  • Story Retellings (3 ques): In this section, you will hear a brief story. You will need to remember the characters, the situation, and other important details, then retell the story as accurately as you can within 30 seconds.
  • Open Questions (2 ques): In this section, you will hear a question about a specific topic, and you need to speak on that topic for 40 seconds.

My Tips: Search in YouTube, see how this round is conducted. Sit in a quite place with a good headphone (either 3.5mm jack or USB). I suggest to take the exam at night. Check the headphone before taking the exam. Listen to the questions very carefully as It might be on foreign accent.

4th Round: Interview (Online):

At first, you need to book a time slot of your preference to take the interview. The Interview can start late so don’t panic at that time wait in the virtual interview lobby. The Overall duration of the interview was around 20 min.

Accenture generally focuses on project-based questions and HR questions, so you must have thorough knowledge of your projects and prepare some basic HR questions.

Questions that my interviewer asked me are as follows:

1. Introduced yourself
2. Have you done any team projects?
3. Tell me about the project.
4. What was your role?
5. What are the key learnings of the project?
6. What difficulties you faced during the project?
7. Have you ever been unsuccessful?
8. Why do you want to join Accenture?
9. What is name of the CEO of Accenture?
10. Do you know how many employees currently work in Accenture?
11. Apart from studies have you done anything for society?
12. What is your least favorite subject in college and why?
13. Do you ever faced any problems with your team members?
14. Any questions for me?

My Tips: The questions were easy and the interviewer was also friendly so Just be honest and confident and speck normally. Prepare the basic HR questions. As most of the questions come from the project so make sure you know everything about the projects. Sometimes the interviewer may asked technical questions based on your tech stack and project. Also prepare the core subjects like Basic DSA, OOPS, DBMS, Networks, OS. Pay close attention of what you are saying as the next question can be asked based on what you have said.

One more think, your selection will be based on your performance and some LUCK. My interview was good and I also solved the two coding questions still did not get selected. So don’t depend on this one company, try on other companies also.

ALL THE BEST !!!
