In late August 2024, Accenture visited our campus to recruit Full-Time Employees (FTE) for the role of AEH, starting in 2025. The application process was open to all branches, and it saw an overwhelming response, with over 6,000 students applying for the online assessment.
The recruitment process consisted of four rounds, each serving as an elimination round, except for the communication assessment. These rounds included:

  1. Online Assessment
  2. Coding Round
  3. Communication Assessment
  4. Technical + HR Interview

Round 1: Cognitive and Technical MCQ Assessment

The first round tested our aptitude and logical reasoning skills. We were required to wear formal attire and report to the designated rooms assigned by the Career Development Centre.

This round consisted of six sections, and we had to answer a total of 90 questions within 90 minutes. The topics covered were diverse, ranging from Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning, and Logical Reasoning to Pseudocode, Networking & Cloud, and MS Office.

The difficulty level varied from easy to medium. Once the assessment was completed, the results were announced almost instantly—within two minutes. Candidates who cleared this round moved on to the coding section, while others received a message indicating they had not been selected.

Important Points:

  • Difficulty Level: Easy to Medium
  • Topics Covered: Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal, Logical Reasoning, Pseudocode, Networking & Cloud, MS Office.
  • Note: This was an elimination round with no negative marking.

Round 2: Coding Round

The second round was a coding challenge designed to test our problem-solving and programming skills. The duration was 45 minutes, during which we were required to solve two questions. The difficulty level ranged from easy to medium.

To advance to the next round, it was essential to solve both questions. Only candidates who performed well in this round moved on to the Communication Assessment.

Out of the 6,500 students who initially applied, only 650 were selected for the next stage.

Important Points:

  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Number of Questions: 2
  • Difficulty Level: Easy to Medium
  • Note: This was an elimination round, so performing well was crucial for further progression.

Round 3: Communication Round

Each candidate selected for this round received further details via email. This was an AI-based assessment that evaluated our communication skills. The round consisted of six different sections, each with a set number of questions and varying time limits. Candidates had a 24-hour window to complete the test at their convenience.

The six sections included:

  1. Reading Sentences – 8 Questions
  2. Repeating Sentences – 16 Questions
  3. Questions and Answers – 24 Questions
  4. Sentence Building – 10 Questions
  5. Story Retelling – 3 Questions
  6. Speak on a Given Topic – 2 Questions

The total duration for this assessment was 30 minutes.

Important Points:

  • Note: This is not an elimination round, but it is recommended to perform your best as it contributes to the overall evaluation.
  • Tips:
    • Use wired headsets with a good-quality microphone (avoid Bluetooth devices).
    • Take the test in a quiet environment with a stable internet connection to avoid interruptions.

Round 4: Technical + HR Interview

This round lasted around 25 to 30 minutes. Candidates received the interview date and were given the option to choose a time slot that suited them.

The interview began with a brief introduction from the interviewer, followed by the classic "Tell me about yourself" question. The discussion then moved on to various topics, including:

  • Academic Journey: What you have accomplished over the past 3.5 years in college.
  • Project Discussion: Deep dive into projects mentioned on the resume.
  • Group Project and Leadership Experience: Roles and responsibilities in group projects.
  • Internship Experience: Details and learnings from the internship.
  • Hackathon Participation: Experiences and outcomes from hackathons.
  • Handling Failures: Situations where you encountered failure and how you dealt with them.
  • Skill Development: The most important skills developed during project creation and where they were applied further.
  • Open Questions: The interviewer asked if I had any questions for him (Tip: Always ask a couple of thoughtful questions. This shows your interest and helps you connect better with the interviewer).

Tips for this Round:

  • Stay confident and calm while answering questions.
  • Read through various interview experiences beforehand to prepare for potential questions.
  • When the interviewer asks if you have any questions for them, always try to ask at least one or two thoughtful questions. This leaves a positive impression.

After about 10 days, our Career Development Centre announced the final list of selected candidates. I was overjoyed and proud to find my name among those who made it. It was a moment of immense satisfaction, knowing that all the hard work and preparation had paid off!
