Round 1: Cognitive and Technical Assessment
This round consisted of 90 questions in 90 minutes with no negative marking. The topics covered included:
English Ability
Numerical Ability
Logical Reasoning
Pseudo Code
MS Excel
Networks and Security
There were a total of 6 sections, and I attempted all the questions. The level of difficulty seemed manageable while I was solving them. If you pass this round (you will get the result within 10 minutes of completing it), you move directly to the next round.
Round 2: Coding
This was a 45-minute round with 2 coding questions. The questions were fairly easy if you have decent coding skills. One question was based on simple loop implementation, and the other involved sorting and the two-pointer technique. I was able to complete both in 8-9 minutes. You will receive a confirmation email if you qualify for this round.
Round 3: Communication Assessment
This round was scheduled two days later and was a non-elimination round (but don’t take it lightly). It’s designed to test whether the candidate can understand various accents and communicate clearly. Tasks include repeating sentences, narrating short stories, etc. Make sure to take this test in a quiet environment with minimal background noise, as the system is highly sensitive to even small disturbances.
Round 4: Interview
The interview took place 2-3 days after the Communication Assessment. The interviewer was quite relaxed and helped calm my nerves. The interview was mostly behavioral with some technical questions based on my resume. Here's what I was asked:
Introduce yourself (Give detailed information).
Discuss a project where you worked in a team, followed by a few cross-questions on that project.
Why did you choose the tech stack for your project? What are its advantages and what alternatives did you consider?
What is prototyping in Java?
Describe a conflict that arose during a team project and how you resolved it.
What feedback did you receive from a mentor, and how did you respond to it?
What certifications have you done, and what are you planning to do next?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Why Accenture?
Do you have any questions for me?
The interview lasted for about 16 minutes.
Final Result
I managed to clear the interview and received confirmation from accenture and my placement cell. Now, I’m awaiting the official offer letter.
Tips from My Side:
Round 1: Practice previous years’ papers, at least 4-5 sets. Focus on cloud computing, network security, and MS Excel basics. For pseudo code, often you can solve questions through observation without running the actual code.
Round 2: The coding round is easy; just ensure you are familiar with basic programming concepts.
Round 3: Even though it's non-elimination, take it seriously and ensure you are in a quiet environment.
Round 4: Prepare thoroughly for behavioral questions. Watch behavioral interview videos and be very familiar with your resume. Prepare a list of questions and answers related to your projects. Also, prepare answers to traditional questions like your weaknesses in advance.
Finally, stay confident. I know it’s easier said than done, but confidence is key during interviews.
