I applied for the position through a Google Doc shared by a Zepto employee on LinkedIn.

Round-1, Round-2 are conducted on Barraiser.

Round-1 DS Algo:
Expectation is to solve 2 DSA questions each in 25 mins
Question-1: https://leetcode.com/problems/minimum-cost-for-tickets/
This is a hard problem but the interviewer expected a solution within 25 minutes, I took around 35 minutes to complete it.
Question-2: https://leetcode.com/problems/daily-temperatures/description/
Variation of standard stack question, solved it in 10mins.

Feedback: Received positive feedback from the interviewer, with suggestions to choose better variable names and improve speed.

I received the Round 2 interview mail two days later.

Round-2 Low Level Design and DB Schema Design:
Asked to design a Chess Game:

  1. Class Structures and Design Patterns: Discussed OOP principles, inheritance, and design patterns.

  2. Database Schema Design: Designed tables to manage players, moves, etc.

  3. API Design: Defined API endpoints for starting a game, making a move, and querying the game state, including detailed payload and response structures.

Feedback: The interviewer gave positive feedback

Update: I called the TA , and he doesn’t seem to care at all. All the positions are filled. I used to wonder why people criticize TA's and HR's, but now I understand—and they deserve it.
