Position: New Grad SRE @ Google

Technical phone screen (1 hour)

• Algorithm questions - Longest increasing substring & Longest unique substring. Solved using sliding window alg. O(n) w O(1).

The interview process went as well as one could hope. No issues with technology. Communicated okay. Solved the questions. Definitely room for improvement by being clearer, more concise and faster but interviews make me nervous so w/e.

Tried to contact my recruiter after a week. No response. Tried to get in touch with the scheduler who also tried. Still no response. At this rate, I assumed I've been rejected and/or ghosted.
*** Update ***
Recieved a rejection email, saying interview went well but they're winding down the hiring of this job.
Seems like either, I was rejected because of my merits, the hiring freeze/COVID-19 response or a combination.
