I was contacted by a recruiter in the month of March for the role of L4 Application Engineer Google.
Now in september, gave the last 6th round.

Round 1 : Coding
Typical Googe type question with a story line, I had to deduce and finalize the alogrithm. I proposed using disjoint sets, interviewer was fine with this with this approach but he told this approach will take a lot of time and maybe its overengineering. I got stuck and could not write the solution but orally told him the solution.

Verdict : No Hire

Round 2 : Coding
Leetcode easy premium question.

Verdict : Hire

Recruiter told me to give one coding more round
Round 3 : Coding
Medium question on DP

Verdict : Lean Hire

Round 4 : Googliness and leadership

Verdict : Strong Hire

Round 5 : Application Design/System design
Asked to design some ticket workflow system

Verdict : Lean Hire

Round 6 : System Integration
Asked to integrate 2 systems. They will judge you on designing flow of data (Kafka, SQS), API design, authentication, encryption, mainly the components you will use for integrating 2 separate systems, one system could be fast one could be slow.

Verdict : Hire

After 6 months of rounds, recruiter is telling me my profile is good fit for L3 and so-so for L4. So they will submit packet to HC for L3. Currently, waiting for team fitment call as there is no opening for application engineer available. After the fitmen in team they will send it to HC.

I have no idea how much time will it take, it can also take some months.
Anybody went through same situation? How much time you had to wait?

P.S I have 7 years of experience.
