BharatX | Backend Engineer | Bengaluru | JULY 2024 (GHOSTED)

I got a chance to interview at BharatX (a buy now, pay later) platform. I applied via careers portal and got a call for interview. I was told there would be 3 rounds - Projects/Experience, Machine Coding, On-site.

Round 1 (Projects/Experience)

My experience was discussed throroughly, regarding what I mentioned in my resume.
I had a personal project of mine, something like a in-memory Key-Value database (something like redis, in Golang). I was asked to run the project, show some functionalities and explain the improvements that could be brought.
In the end, he told there would be another round more technical and coding, not necessary in the tech stack I was comfortable with.

Round 2 (Machine Coding)

I was asked to run the Wordpress docker image, and build a local plugin to add footer in the webpages.
I was allowed to use google for code snippets and everything. I took around 30 minutes (longer than expected) for the initial setup of wordpress and postgres.
Then I was able to code the running solution in next 20 minutes. He asked me a followup feature and told me to sent the code within 1 hour on his email. I did the same.

Result

I was ghosted. After multiple followup mails I didn't get any feedback or followups.
I guess I did something wrong in the final round.
