25 minutes of intense LP
5 minutes for questions

Virtual onsite round 3

10 minutes for questions

Virtual Lunch
Not an interview, just a chat. Friendly guy, we got along fairly well for the 1/2 hr we spoke.

Virtual onsite round 4

LC medium string question. Common Amazon question
30 minutes of LP

I answered all the technical questions right, but had a slightly un-optimal solution for round 4 that took me as long to optimize as it did for me to get my original solution ( O(2N) for my original solution, eventually improved to O(N) ), along with not implementing my solution for the follow up of round 2, rather just walking through it.

All the interviewers were friendly and nice to chat with, pleasant experience on the whole. My recruiter explicitly told me there would be no system design interview, but I got one for round 3. I felt like I did okay on it, the interviewer seemed happy with my design, and we ended the interview with him "hoping to talk to you again soon."

My likely reason for rejection (Amazon doesn't tell you the reason why) is mediocre LP performance in the bar raiser and final interviews. I don't think I did bad per-se, but my examples were a little weak because my current position is in a very top-heavy org and I don't have a lot of room to prove myself.

Overall a positive interview experience, but heartbreaking for sure.
