Interview Rounds:
First Round:
Question Difficulty: Hard.
https://leetcode.com/problems/first-missing-positive/
Experience:
I first started with brute force and coded it.
Interviewer wanted me to optimise it. I optimised it and provided it with inplace swapping.
The Interviewer was having some different accent and was seemed rude. He jumped onto the problem straight and was really hard to communicate with.
Feedback: Bad Communication, Lean Hire
Second Round:
Question Difficulty: Medium or hard , completely new question where he wanted to schedule tasks with some priority given their time duration only after which they can be executed.
Experience: Coded a PriorityQueuebased solution and pseudo coded a ThreadPoolExecutor to execute this task concurrently. He was satisfied but wanted me to give a try to any other approach I can think of.
I asked few questions about working at Google. Interviewer was really friendly and we had good discussion afterwards.
Feedback: Postive, hire.
Third Round:
Question1: Graph Question, Multisource BFS problem
Experience: Solved the problem using Brute force, Implemented a BFS solution and then converted into Multisource BFS for the best Time Complexity. He was really impressed with the solution. Asked few questions about working at Google and type of work he is doing.
Interviewer was friendly and he made me felt comfortable for the whole round.
Feedback: Postive, Strong Hire.
Googleyness Round:
Experience: The Googleyness round felt the easiest. The interviewer was a senior hiring manager. He asked me about the work I did at my previous company followed by some behavioral questions.
Tell me about a time where you faced a challenge at your last company and how you completed that.
How was the work environment at your last company.
I was able to answer all questions, and IT felt like a discussion round and he was impressed with my answers
Feedback: Positive, Strong hire.
Had call with the recruiter and she told me my first round wasn't went well and rejected.
