Almost 3 YOE after undergrad.
Masters - Graduated in December 2019 (international student)
Past:
I didn’t got any internship in summer, plus I got an intern reject from amazon in early 2019. I have shared here my 3 reject posts about Amazon-intern, SAP, Facebook(virtual interview). The further I didn’t shared were rejects from Flextrade, Nutanix, Walmart, Zillow group, nextdoor, capitalOne.
After getting setbacks I was feeling super low, I applied to amazon new grad In October but didn’t got any response from them.
So few weeks ago I set my profile on “Hired”, I got a message from Amazon recruiter for interview request, I accepted the request :P :D.
They sent me an assessment link:
Assessment 90 mins 2 question one easy one medium from leetcode amazon top 100. Can’t tell the questions as I have signed NDA.
After two days got call from recruiter that they want to move forward with me and there won’t be any phone screen. virtual interview(Due to corona thing). There were 4 rounds in finals:

Round1(1hour):
Two behavioral questions he asked about almost every detail of it. (better be prepared with an example that you feel you have lived every aspect of that example.)
System Design question: It was focused on Database, database tables, APIs, classes and cache.
My suggestion give extra details about the area in which your are super strong… like I know most trade-off between sql and no-sql I explained him all. Different types of caching techniques I explained him why this technique with strong evidence and details even though I was not asked.
Round2(1 hour):
Two behavioral questions and one coding question
It was leetcode medium from amazon top questions after my solution interviewer asked can you solve this with the help of “Heap” even though the time complexity by using heap is the same as my solution. So I though about it and did it with heap too.

Round3(1 hous):
Two behavioral and one coding.
Again a medium from amazon top questions. I did the question with BFS approach then he asked about dfs. why bfs is good or dfs is good? Then he asked me to solve the same question again with DFS approach this time I did it. As 20 mins where remining he gave me another question a leetcode medum.

Round 4(1.5 hours extended even though it was an 1 hour interview round).
Two Behavioral.
Coding question was hard I was struggling in the question, explain him my approach he was continuously asking me and suggesting me finally he said I will give you 10 mins more on this but it took me 15 mins more to solve but he didn’t stopped me as I was on right track…. Phew question done.
Now question 2 again hard same situation I suggested him approach after 5-6 mins of thinking he said think more you are missing something. I gave him another refinement he said you are close keep thinking finally after 15-20 mins I got the approach and coded he said yeah now its perfect.
He was helpful 😊
After all these round I though I might not get the offer as my round 4 was not good it took me a lot of time.
But after two days that is today I got offer 😊. Finally struggle ends for some time lol :P

COMPENSATION:
145k Base + 35 shares + 25K bonus year one + 22k Bonus year two.
Relocation 7K
Note: I didn't negotiated, I think If i would have it would be an easy 150k base.
