Finally, time to give back to the LC Community.
This was a regular Onsite for Microsoft, not a hiring event. A little bit info about me: I started working full time since mid last year, faced multiple rejections(Oracle, Amazon) which crushed me but i still kept going before i got the MSFT call. I constantly grinded LC and SD videos on Youtube(Plenty of good ones and *** the system design interview). Initial was an OA which had the questions from the MSFT OA[The list is on LC], then was scheduled an onsite(4+1 rounds). I highly recommend buying PREMIUM. If you want a SIX figure job you should be willing to spend around 12 dollars a month and shouldnt think twice.
First round —> A graph based question similar to Djiktraws/group Anagrams/ Delete characters to make it a palindrome. You have to finish any one but tell the approaches to the remaining ones as well, working ones. Every round involved telling the TC and SC
Second round —> Convert bst to greater BST and generate n bit gray code
Third round —> Gas station LC
Fourth round —> First asked me two sum(I was honest about it that i know it) was asked another general programming question.
Fifth round —> SD, asking about LB/caching/database solutions, efficient approach and discussed a lot on my internship experience.
After interviewing with so many companies, the one thing that was constant was the luck factor. Sometimes you do some interviews perfect but dont hear back(internal hire, or some other reason). There was nothing we could do in such scenarios but all we can do is keep going. Just keep grinding and your time will come. I faced so many rejections that i lost count but the only way is through.
