Hello All,

Today I am gonna share my experience from a company called Park+, which is a Gurgaon based startup.

Batch - 2023
College - IIT

**Interview- Experience - ** (September 2022)

Round 1 (Online Assessment ~1hr):
Drive started with an online assessment. 2 Coding + 16 MCQ on Intervue.io platform. Test was Easy to Medium level.

Round - 2 - Technical Interview (1.5hrs):

Park+ had collaborated with Barraiser Team. Someone from their team took my interview.
Started with my introduction and a little bit about my projects. Then he shared a link to open a codejudge online compiler and question link.

He started explaining the question. It was 2048 game. We discussed the problem statement. Some time has already gone to understanding as it is not an easy problem to write fully-functional working code in a single an hour interview. So he asked me to give the idea of small-small functions to divide the whole game. So I wrote some functions and he was convinced. He said these are fine, I am not looking for the complete answer.

Then he gave me another problem -> return duplicate characters from a string. (Runnable). I did it with unordered_map only.

After that he gave me one more problem from leetcode. (LC - reverse-pairs ). He asked me to solve on Leetcode only. I ran the code on Leetcode with the Brute-Force approach. After that he asked me to optimize the approach. As I was able to see the hard tag from leetcode. I was kind of scared. But I took some time and mapped the question with inversion count problem, which we solved using the merge sort approach. So, I started telling him my approach and wrote the code.

In between he asked me other questions also, like what is RDBMS. Primary Key.
Write a Table in SQL with name, roll_no, email with proper runnable syntax.

I wrote table according to my understanding. He was satisfied then he asked some HR related questions also.
In the end, he gave me very good feedback about my interview.

Next Day, got a call from Park+ Team for 2nd interview. (with Park+ employee)

Round - 3 - Technical Interview (1hrs) with SDE - II

Started with my introduction. Asked about my internships and projects.
Gave me a problem. (LC - maximum-subarray )

I gave him both brute and optimized approach.

He asked follow up question. (LC - maximum-sum-circular-subarray )
I gave working solution and he was satisifed.

Round - 4 - Technical Interview (1hr) Sr Engineer Manager

Started with my introduction. He asked my one Intern work completely.

Then he gave me one query to write. He pasted the table on google doc. Needed to find the max salaried person’s name from every department in employee table. I wrote the query. He was satisfied.

Then he asked whether I know the Sudoku or not. After that he gave me a problem.

I explained my approach and wrote the code. Complexity also explained.

Then he gave me another problem. (LC - populating-next-right-pointers-in-each-node )

He explained the problem. I understood the solution when he was saying the problem. The moment I said BFS, he was agreed and asked me to write the code. I wrote the code and explained. Complexities also he asked.

Then in the end he asked if I have any question. So I asked about Park+ as I already went through the website, wanted to know more about projects. So he explained nicely.

It was a very great and calm discussion. I enjoyed a lot.

After half an hour, I got a call from TPO officer, that I got selected.

Real tragedy starts from here :-

From Jan 2023, our TPO was after the Park+ team continuously for the offer letters of selected students. Everytime HR asked us to wait.

In June HR conveyed to our TPO that higher management wants to connect with the selected candidates. She also said that it is not an interview, team just want to know the candidates better before onboarding. We all thought they may want to know our current Tech-Stack or interest regarding the project selection.

HR scheduled this discussion in June. Manager joined the call. He asked few basic questions regarding my profile and work-ex. And BOOM--- Suddenly he started asking me technical questions and asked me to share my screen. I shared it and he gave me coding problem on some game, I don't remember now. I was like what is this happening ? But still, I took the whole discussion seriously and also solved the coding problem. He also asked me few more technical questions. Fortunately, I was able to answer them.

After this round, HR again went to deep sleep. Multiple communications from our TPO, but no response from their side.

And BOOM - In July, HR said that all candidates are rejected as their performance was not good. So we are rejecting all.

I don't know what should anyone say at this stage of life. We all were shocked.

We were selected in September and rejected in July. The whole placement season is completed now. We were not allowed to sit in any other company because this Park+ came in the start of the placement season with huge inflated CTC.

We enjoyed our college life after September to the fullest because we had already secured a good offer with good compensation. But, now we are with no offer in July. :)

Please do not consider this experience with some companies who are revoking the offers. At least they are not following this worst culture, poor professionalism.
