Interview Experience

Round 1 (Online Test, 120 mins)

There were 2 coding questions, 2 sql questions and 5 aptitude.

Round 2 (Online screening round, Technical Interview, 45 mins)

This was a screening round; the interviewer asked 1 DSA question (difficulty level: easy) and 1 SQL query (difficulty level: easy) and discussed the work of the current organisation.

Rest all the rounds were in-office; Need to be present at the given location (Bangalore or Chennai)

Round 3 (Offline Technical Interview, 2 hours)

It was taken by one of the engineering managers. They will ask some famous DSA questions (medium level difficulty), 1 sql query, system design (basics like parking lots and chess), load balancing, scaling, and concurrency. For me, they asked how to design the HLD of the BookMyShow kind seat booking algorithm (mainly focused on concurrency), then CS fundamentals, which will be mainly focused on dbms (scaling, sharding, indexing), DNS resolution, What is CDN?, etc. Discussion regarding projects or work of the current organisation. And then, regarding the keywords present in the resume, For me, they asked about Redis and Kafka. How is Redis faster? RAM vs. Disc vs. ROM vs. Cache. The interviewer also gave a few pseudo codes to debug and fix the edge cases. In frontend, they asked about some basics of React (like explaining the DOM, lazy loading, etc.). The interview lasted 2 hours.

Round 4 (Offline Technical Interview, 1 hour)

It was taken by one of the directors of engineering. He will ask basic questions on language fundamentals (for me, they asked in depth about Java), CS fundamentals (SSL, http vs. https, memory allocation, garbage collector), and one puzzle. Also, he will ask about the work you have done in your current organisation and some discussions regarding Chargebee culture. This round lasted for an hour.

Round 5 (Hiring Manager Round, 1 hour)

It will be taken by the vice president. The discussion revolved around my resume, a few technical questions, a discussion regarding the work of the current organisation, and some general HR questions. This round lasted for an hour.

Conclusion
Got the selection result next day only. Accepted the offer.
