Status: Employed, 6 YOE, MSc on joint top US/BR universities\nPosition: SDE2 at Amazon AWS\nLocation: Vancouver, BC\nDate: Feb, 2020\n\n**Interview Process:**\n\nFirst contact:  \nRecruiter invited me using LinkedIn.\n\nOnline assessment (60 minutes):\n\nTwo questions, not the same, but similar to:\n- https://leetcode.com/problems/rotting-oranges/\n- https://leetcode.com/problems/top-k-frequent-words/\n\nOnsite interview (4 rounds):\n\n- Behavioral Questions + Similar to https://leetcode.com/problems/kth-largest-element-in-a-stream/\n- Behavioral Questions + OO Design of tree search\n- Behavioral Questions + System Design of a batch update system\n- Behavioral Questions + Graph questions out of CTCI\n\n**Note:**  \nEvery behavioral was heavily based on the Amazon LP.  \nI only had ~1 month to prepare, and I got into ICU from studying 4h/day along with working ~9h/day.    \nI did a total of 73 Leetcode questions.\n\n**Tips:**\n- Try to **understand** the concepts behind the questions and its solutions, so you will find **patterns** in those questions.\n- Grokking the System Design Interview is one of my best friends now.
