Please find the below experience of OCI SRE position couple of weeks back:
Initial phone call with recruiter and discussed about experiece/position
**45 mins Technical Phone round: **
Asked few behaviroul questions + Coding problem on Buy and Sell stock, followup changes on same code + Basic resume based questions
Next day got mail from recruiter for onsite interview having 5 rounds
First round:
Lucikly same interview who took phone round and asked same question of buy and sell stock. Additional technical questions on troubleshooting skills
Second round:
This was a bit difficult round. He started with asking a design question i.e Design for a XXX domain - a micro service architecture(Looking for different api services, networking concepts of how that will work, caching, consistency model and all sorts of design concepts all most in depth)
In depth networking questions on subnets, ip addresses.
Third round:
Lunch + behavioural + Prior experience based questions/discussions
Coding problem on LinkedList palindrome.
Fourth round:
Completely focussed on networking concepts in depth. How ping,traceroute works. Flow of packets in and out of private/public networks, OSI model, ssh, DDOS attacks, DNS, etc + behavioural
Fifth round:
This is very important round which is taken by a bartender [person outside line of business] Kind of strict person.
Asked questions on OCI principles similar to how amazon takes.
Asked to draw complete CI/CD pipeline on white board and explain each process in depth. Followup questions on each process.
Asked a scripting question and followup linux questions.
I got a verbal offer next day [ negotiation going ] but though i have other offer i wouldn;t be going to OCI.
