Accenture || Application developer || Offer rejected

Current Experience: 2.5 year+ at a product based MNC

Recently appeared for the role of java, springboot application developer role in accenture.

It was just a single round.

Interviewer joined 15 min late. I dropped and joined back after talking to HR.
It started with intro, then project overview and my contribution.

Then following Java springboot based theory based questions asked:

  • Meaning of entity class?
  • Different ways to sort array in java and When to choose one over another?
  • Interface vs abstract class? When to choose which one?
  • Difference between HashMap and HashTable? When to choose one over another?
  • Difference between StringBuilder, StringBuffer, char array and When to choose one over another?

They he came to coding questions:

  • Write a program to print number 1 to n using x number of threads?
  • Write a program to print all duplicate characters present in a string?
  • Write a program to print number of unique string present in a string array?
  • Write a program to sort student list based on marks?

Then interview asked couple of scenario based question?

  • How you handle tasks in the team?
  • How you priotise your work?

Then he asked about sonarqube and its different type of issue and how i fixed those.

It concluded. He did not gave me chance to ask questions in the end :) for which i was well prepared .

I got selection confirmation from HR next day but they did not come up a good budget. They just throw a low CTC figure and you have to accept or reject it.
They offered me 10% hike on my fix ctc and 30% overall including variable pay. Variable pay is a joke we all know. They were not even flexible in terms of location.
I rejected it knowing neglible hike and no location preference.
Overall interview was cakewalk but we need this type of interview as well to boost our confidence.

Thanks. I hope it may help someone.
