I had my onsite interview couple of days back at NYC.
Little backgroud : Masters in CS, Little over 2.5 years of experience, More than 500+ problems on LC
After phone screen, I was invited for onsite interview at NY office.

Round 1 :
Standard why bloomberg, projects on my resume. After that one List based question. I told him multiple approaches and coded the approach which the interviewer was ok with. After that, he gave me sometime to ask him questions.

Lunch : I mentioned my preference as Chicken Sandwich. I don't think even God knows what I got. I just stuffed it down my throat as I was starving.

Round 2 :
Standard questions about projects on my resume and some very basic language based questions. He then asked me a List based question(again). I told him, I already saw this question and knew who to solve it. He told to go ahead and solve it anyway. Once done, he asked me one Tree question, I finished coding the solution for this as well. Again, gave me sometime to ask him questions about bloomberg and done.

After that, he said no more rounds and "escorted" me out. After two days, I got the standard rejection email saying I should work on DS and algo skills. (Nice joke bro !).

Honestly, I did really well in interview. There were times during second round where the interviewer(guy was most probably younger than me) was not able to follow my code even though I explained my algorithm beforehand. I am "prety sure" he thought I was wrong(its an LC question and verified it later). No, I was not arrogant/disrespectful, I was having fun. I didn't know that they will escort you out if you don't clear round two(I was so dissappointted after finding it out). I mean, they should at least use comptent people to interview people.

Honestly, after getting rejected from more than 10+ onsites for one reason or the other it f**king sucks to get rejected again. I practice and work hard everyday just to get rejected. I don't even know why I still practice and apply everyday. Hope this misery ends one day, I am just so tired and sad.

My advice for people would be practice Linked list based questions and please have a heavy breakfast. All the questions were from LC.
