How did I get the interview call?
I got a message on Linkedin from one of the recruiters of Oracle and she asked me if I want to consider one of the roles at oracle cloud.
Telephonic Call with the Recruiter (30mins):
She went through my resume, and asked couple of questions about my experience, projects that I had done with my previous companies. And she thoroughly explained about what OCI is looking for, and what my contribution to the company and what is expected from me. She also asked me what kind of tech skills I have and do I have knowledge in Big data.
Next day after talking with the recruiter, she contacted me to schedule a telephonic screening.
Telephonic screening with a Team Member (Senior Principle Engineer - have been with Oracle for 15 years) (1 hour):
Two days later, I received an e-mail from the recruiter with an invite for the onsite interview. They had very strict timeline to choose interview either on 10th of Dec or 11th of Dec as the team was visiting to Broomfield office, Colorado.
Onsite (5 rounds) :
Round 1 (Senior Staff Engineer - Coding Interview, 1 hour) :
Round 2 (System Design Round, 1 hour) :
Round 3 (Manager Round (Seattle) - Data Analytics, 1 hour) :
Round 4 (Senior Principle Engineer, 1 hour) :
He was writing all the codes in IntelliJ idea to verify that all the codes were working. WTF.
Oracle Offer:
After 5 days, I got an email from the recuiter that the team is decided to move forward with an official offer and wanted to schedule a call with me about the benefits and compensation expectation.
Manager Round:
As I wanted to go to California, my recruiter scheduled a call with one of the managers at OCI whose team is in Redwood city and we went throught the roles and his expectation from me.
My Preparation:
What's Next:
I couldn't provide the exact questions as I have signed the NDA with Oracle. So I'm so so sorry.
