YOE: 2.5 Years working with multiple startups
Position: Software Engineer 2 at a product based startup
Location: Bangalore, India
Date: March 2024

There were 5 technical rounds followed by a HR manager round

Round 1 (virtual):

1. Had an introduction with the interviewer (SSE), he was very friendly and explained me the product in a good level and also showed the product's potential from tech's perspective and the scale.
2. One leetcode medium question : https://leetcode.com/problems/populating-next-right-pointers-in-each-node/description/
3. Some questions on Golang as I was being hired for that particular role and had a hands-on on basic level of concurrency in golang.
4. The interviewer was very friendly and helped me at points where I was confused about the syntax.

Round 2 (virtual):

1. This round was with a Engineering Manager.
2. Asked me to design a database schema for an application. https://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/335045/database-design-for-splitwise
3. Asked me to write queries to do read and write operations for various scenarios.

Round 3 (virtual):

1. This round was taken by SVP Engineering.
2. This was a completely technical round.
3. Asked questions on Redis pipeling, Postgres Master-Slave data replication, Kafka internals like group co-ordinator etc...

Round 4 (virtual):

1. This round was with CTO of the company.
2. Had an intriduction about the previous company, what I did there, my role and projects.
3. Had a database design kinda round with some analytics kind of queries to run.
4. Had a logical design round for handling deduplication of payload at scale in a kafka environment.
5. Had a string based DSA question.

Round 5 (virtual):

1. This round again was with another VP Engineering.
2. This round was considered to be a team matching kinda round.
3. Had an introduction and exchanged some interests apart from work.
4. Had a variation of Zig-Zag traversal of binary tree

Round 6 (virtual):

1. This was a HR Managerial round.
2. Had conversation on culture fit and some work related stuffs.

Result : Got the offer and joined the company
