Technical Round 1 (1 hour)

1. Resume/Projects discussion
2. Valid Parentheses
3. Hashmap Based Question
4. System Design Quesion : Given a system to perform analytics on requests coming into a specific service. Follow up questions like, How is the application deployed, load balancer , type of database to use (SQL vs NoSQL), why not use NoSQL database?

Verdict : Was able to solve all problems and moved to the next round

Technical Round 2 ( 1 hour)

1. Resume/Projects discussion
2. Data Engineering related questions : ETL vs ELT (Pros & cons) , Data warehouse vs data lake (Pros and cons), Kafka architecture, how is data stored in kafka, Do you know snowflake?, How are nodes scaled up in kubernettes, How to capture new entries/updates in a database ?
3. System design - What all tools will be used in order to migrate data from one system to another. - First answered in a batch sync format. Later interviewer wanted a real time solution -- gave a rough kafka based solution
4. LC - Medium - Double Hash map based question ( Given a list of people, cities, routes find the highest city each person is visiting)

Verdict : Since I didnt have much handson with DE tools wasnt able to answer all the questions. Also time wasnt sufficient for LC question thus was able to compile only. Overall, rejected.

It was a good expereince, recruiter was very friendly and communicative. Always made sure to keep candidates in the loop.
