"Jai Shree Radha Krishna!

Let's begin! Excited? Hope so, heheheh.

So, EQ Technologic visited our college (AIT-PUNE) for the placement drive 2023-24. They came up with two roles: the first one is Software Role (COMP/IT eligible), while the second one is Quality Assurance Engineer (COMP/IT/ENTC).

Eligibility Criteria:

Students should have scored 60% and above in all the previous semesters.
Students should not have had any backlogs in any semester.
99 students are eligible from our college.
Round 1 Aptitude (Online):

The aptitude round consisted of 14 aptitude questions and 2 coding questions. Test was conducted on SHL Platform ( AMCAT )

Round 2 Technical Interview (Online MS Team , 1 hour):

In the evening, I received a call from the interviewer that I cleared the first round, and he would schedule my interview for tomorrow (1 hour). The interview started with the interviewer saying, "You are looking so handsome." Me: "Hahahhahahaa." Basic introduction lasted for 3-4 minutes.

  • Why C++?

  • Explain OOPS?

  • What are the four pillars of OOPS?

  • Explain polymorphism with a real-world example?

  • Explain types of inheritance?

  • What is an access modifier?

  • Explain the difference between protected and private access modifiers?

He asked 1-2 questions which I had never heard of in OOPS, so I simply said, "Sorry, I didn't hear about these concepts," something like "What is diamond inheritance," not sure.

  • Explain abstract and interface.

Then he asked me to share my screen and gave me one coding question, which was to reverse a paragraph. e.g.,

Input: "your name is Vishal"

Output: "Vishal is name your."

He shared two puzzle questions with me in the chatbox.

  • Write down an SQL query to update the address of a particular employee.

  • Asked me to open Chrome in incognito mode and search for Gmail. Then the first page of Gmail loaded, which was "Sign-in." Then, the interviewer asked me to take 10 minutes and write down all the test cases that I could think of. Once done, let me know, and we will discuss them one by one. So, I took my time, wrote down all the test cases, and explained them to him.

He shared one URL with me, http://vishal.com/books/book?categories=novel, and asked me to explain this URL.

  • He asked, "What is HTTP?" I told him the difference between HTTP and HTTPS, and he said, "Just tell me what HTTP is."

  • He asked me if u hit any url and blank page loaded they what can be possible reason behind it.

  • Open developer tools and explain the first five terms which were showing there: Elements, Console, Network, Performance, Application. Asked questions based on them.

  • What is smoke testing?

  • What is Regression Testing?

Yeah, that's all. Then he gave me a chance to ask any questions if I had any. At the end, he was looking so impressed by me and said, "You have a very deep knowledge of everything."

In the evening, I received another email for Round 3.

Round 3 Technical Interview (Online Ms Team, 1 hour):

He started with an introduction, then he asked about my experience so far, what questions were asked during the first round, who was my previous interviewer, and what questions I had discussed previously.

He asked some questions based on my resume. - Which programming languages do you know, and which one is your favorite?

  • Explain AWS API Gateway.

He gave me a coding question to solve in JavaScript: Print this Pattern:

  1

I needed to write down 10 test cases, and he explained the problem. The question was about having a landline phone with no display, no calling button, just digits from 0-9. I wrote down 10 test cases, in which one of the test cases was very unique; even the interviewer got shocked when I told him. He was impressed by me at that point.

One more question on testing, pretty simple: I have 5 input text fields; just need to write down 10 test cases and explain them.
