Status: New grad, B.E. Computer Engineering (in TCS since 3 months)
Position: UI Engineer 1 at Flipkart
Location: Bangalore

Online Assessment (90 minutes):

• 3 coding questions
• 1st one was basic, given a string and K and a boolean, rotate the string by K positions.
• 2nd one was a graph problem, we're given a functional graph (atmost 1 outgoing edge), find the maximum sum of edge weights in any cycle.
• 3rd one was https://leetcode.com/problems/shortest-bridge/

Technical Round 1 (PSDS Round)

• 2 DSA questions were asked, had to code in Google doc and run in shared code editor.

• https://leetcode.com/problems/minimum-cost-for-tickets/
• Was asked to optimize space complexity for first one (O(1) space).

Technical Round 2 (Frontend + PSDS)

• Asked questions related to Javascript and key terms like Closure, Hoisting etc.

• Any language allowed but Javascript was preferred for solving the coding question, on a shared Google Doc.
• Gave a small react app with 3 buttons having their own counter and a global counter which is sum of all counts, make it dynamic to allow any number of buttons.
• Asked to open any existing React app on device and asked questions about significance of package.json, package-lock,json etc.

Hiring Manager Round

• Asked questions regarding internship and my role.
• Questions about projects in my resume.
• Explain about any one project.
• What is your approach when starting a new project.
• They were unsure so another HM round was conduted next day, questions about where I am working currently and why I want to switch.
