Round 1: DSA 1(hr)

Q1. Difference between iteration and recursion. Time and Space complexity of recursion. Discussed the complexities with one recusrive call and multiple recursive calls in a function.
Q2. Coding problem based on variant of Binary Search
Q3. Complexity of binary and ternary search. Drive the complexity of diving the array of size N into n chunks.
Q4. Coding question to solve sudoku problem [9 X 9]

Round 2: DSA | System Design 1(hr)
Q1. Code to convert octa decimal number to decimal number
Q2. Finding the maximum in the window of K size. Asked to handle some custom use cases, edge cases and exception handling.
Q3. Given two scenarios and aksed how to handle such situation in our project design.
Ans: I provided high level and low level design solution. He discussed more on High level system design concept - event driven architechture and message queues. Discussed the tadeoffs between multiple options.

Round 3: Miscellaneous 1(hr)
In this round, the interviewer asked me all the questions which were not typically asked in the interview. At the end of the interview, the interviewer told me that the objective was not to solve all the problems but to assess me on how I am apparoching the problems which are out of my comfort zone.
Q1: Generate subnet mask from CIDR notation to decimal notation. Example. Generate [255.255.255.248] from 192.168.1.0/5 (CIDR notation)
Q2: Build your own List data structure of generic type. Ex: Bag bag = new Bag(2)
Q3: Develope Regex for given string (Checking if I have hands on it)

Round 4: System Design | DB | Techinical | HM 1(hr)
Q1. Provide HLD design and component interactions for a use case in Amazon Website. Discuss the data structre of one of the microservices.
Q2. There is an Escallation about increase in latency in a distributed system. How will I approach the problem to debug. Checking debugging skills.
Q3. Design the database to store employee heirarcy. Discsuss the hld concepts related to DB like replication, scaling, sharding etc
Q4. Servicenow tech stack and work discussion.

Time for all interviews: Almost 4 weeks.
