Amazon came for on-campus hiring for recruitment for SDE1 position.
**Online assessment (90 minutes): **

This round was conducted on Mettle and had 2 coding questions and 20 MCQ.
The coding questions were fairly easy and MCQ were from different topics including C++, OS, DBMS, OOPS and CN.

Round 1:

• This round started with discussion on my past internships and projects then the interviewer proceeded to the coding questions.

Round 2

• This was also a technical round and consisted of questions on my resume followed by coding questions.

Round 3

• The questions were modified versions of standard questions where we need to consider streams and design corner cases in those scenerios.
• The first question was that given a continuously running stream of numbers, find the minimum number of subsets of size two and three which are divisible by three https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/number-groups-sizes-two-three-divisible-3/
• Merge K Sorted Iterators

Round 4

• This round started with questions on OS and DBMS. Questions were asked on scheduling algorithms, starvation and how it could be avoided. Then I was asked to write a program to emulate deadlock. Then two coding questions were asked:

It is very necessary to be calm and composed during the interview. It is helpful to discuss your approach along with trade-offs in terms of time and space complexity of the solution with the interviewer before jumping to write code.

Writing clean and modular code is preferred along with specification on assumptions taken.
