This was my first video interview. They sent me a Blue Jeans and CodePad link. While I was working on the problem in coderpad the interviewer(s) were watching me.
The interviewer was nice. The problem was new to me (couldn't find it on LC after the interview). But it was just one of those tricky problems where you have to use classic Binary Search with slight modification. I did solve the problem with the asked runtime.
Later, the interviewer asked me to improve the runtime and gave some hints since I was struggling to come up with the new algorithm. The new algorithm required a complete modification of my original solution. I also completed the modified solution well before time. The interviewer was happy with both the solutions.
Now, the worst part. It has been over two weeks now since the interview but I haven't heard back from the recruiter yet. I sent him a couple of follow-up emails but no response. Which I assume is Facebook's way of rejecting a candidate.
