Hey there fellow coders,
I hope you're doing well. I've got some questions about the Google Foo Bar Challenge, and I'm hoping you can help shed some light on them.
I recently got an invite to the Google Foo Bar Challenge, and I'm pretty excited about it. I've heard rumors that it could be a way to get noticed by Google, and I'm really curious to know more from those of you who've been through it.
If you've taken on the Google Foo Bar Challenge before, or if you know how it works, I'd love to hear from you. Specifically, I'm wondering:
What kind of coding problems do they give you? Are they all about algorithms or other stuff too?
How tough are the problems? Can someone with average coding skills handle them?
If you finish the challenge, does Google get in touch with you for interviews or anything?
How did you go about solving the challenges? Any tips or tricks you can share?
Also, here's something I'm wondering about: When I accepted the challenge, it said I have a week to finish each task. But I haven't started yet, and I'm thinking of starting a few days later. If I click "NO" to start the timer now, can I still kick off the challenge after a bit? And if I select "No" at this time and I'm able to give this challenge later, how can I access it again?
Lastly, I've seen some articles online that say Google might have stopped the Foo Bar Challenge for hiring. Is it still worth doing in 2023? I'd love to know your thoughts.
Your insights and experiences mean a lot, and I appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks a bunch!
