Position: New Graduate Frontend Engineer at LINE Corporation.

• Round 1: Resume Shortlisting

  • They consider good open source profile in frontend area.
  • Internship work experience as frontend engineer.

• Round 2: Take Home Assessment

  • The assessment was very easy.

  • It was tricky and had time limit of 50 mins. They gave a link of a portal where the assessment has to be submitted in zip format.

  • Assignment:

    • A JSON file was given stored in variable TABLE_DATA in json.js file.
    • A app.js where solution has to be written.
    • HTML file (calling both js files)
    • The TABLE_DATA had array of objects where each object was having 4 properties like id, name, thumbnail_url, etc.
    • This data had to be displayed on HTML website in tabular form.
    • NO USE OF ANY KIND OF LIBRARY.
    • This was the first task. The second task was: a button was provided as a part of UI. (HTML file)
    • The functon of this button was to sort entries in ascending and descending order once the data is loaded on the website.

I was not able to complete the home assessment as it required pure JS implementation (without libraries) and 50 mins according to me was very less.

Result: Rejected.
